Passing the main scenario, the Grand Company(GC) recruit you and you will belong to.
You can choose one as you like but there are players who think that the information of GC are only few so don’t have like or dislike anyway.
This article is about “the features and the difference between each GC”.
The Kinds of Grand Companies(GC)
The Maelstrom
City: Limsa Lominsa
Chief Officer: Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn
Theme Color: Red and Black
The Order of the Twin Adder
City: Gridania
Chief Officer: Kan-E-Senna
Theme Color: Yellow
The Immortal Flames
City: Ul’dah
Chief Officer: Raubahn Aldynn (Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo)
Theme Color: Black and Yellow
Points of Select a GC
The Difference Between GC
-Emote of Salute
Each GC have different Salute Emote.
-Chocobo Armors
They are imaged from flags of each GC.
-Original Armors
Each GC have original design armors.
GC armors are fashionable so you can choose it by looks.
*You can only wear GC armors which you belong to.
Main Base of Activities
You often go to your GC to exchange Company Seals, turn in items and so on.
The city where your GC stands become your main base of activities.
With that, you can choose GC like that;
-Your favorite chief officer
-Your favorite city
-The beginning city
In my case, I started at Limsa Lominsa and I like there so I belong to the Maelstrom.
Move Efficiency
The order of the Twin Adder (Gridania) and the Immotal Flames (UL’dah) can go GC by walk but the Maelstrom (Limsa Lominsa) go GC by Aethernet Shards so it need loading.
Possible to Change GC
You can change your GC but there are some rules.
-Your class is above Second Storm Lieutenant/ Second Serpent Lieutenant/ Second Flame Lieutenant
-Complete Hunting Log (Rank 2)
-Cannot transfer after 15 days
-You need to pay 50,000 Gil to transfer (a first time is free)
