[Patch 5.1] Things to Change for Battle Mentor

Mentor system will be updated with Patch 5.1.
This article is about Battle Mentor from Patch 5.1.

The Major Change Points

-It must renew their mentor certification.

-Required player commendations are from 300 to 1500.

Renewing Mentor Certification

Renewal Period

From the release patch 5.1 to December 2019 (planned).

*Players who are currently mentors have to speak to one of the Smith NPCs.

The Way to Renew Certification

Once you have fulfilled the updated requirements, speak to one of the Smith in Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, or Ul’dah, or at the Hall of the Novice, and select “Apply for Menter Certicication”.

The Requirements for Battle Menter Certification

Before Patch 5.1	After Patch 5.1
Complete 1000 dungeons, raids, or trails.	Complete 1000 dungeons, raids, or trails.
Receive 300 player commendations.	Receive 1500 player commendations.

The Things Mentor Can Do

-Apply for Duty Roulette: Mentor.
When you have done 2000 mentor roulette, you can get Astrope Whistle.

-Add Mentor mark on online status.
From patch 5.1, those who acheive mentor certification as a Disciple of War or Majic can change their online status to “PvE Mentor” or “PvP Mentor”.

-Join the Novice Network chat channel
It still be able to participate in the Novice Network chat channel even do not renew.
An icon will indicate that they are a mentor who has yet to renew their certification.

-Experience Point Bonus
When a new adventurer and mentor from a party, they both receive a bonus to experience points earned from adventuring activities (until level 20).

In the End

It will become hard because required players commendations are form 300 to 1500.
